*All 3 ferry terminals on Salt Spring are serviced by BC Transit (15 minute ride to the heart of Ganges Village) so Whether you are traveling as a "walk on" or bringing your vehicle, Salt Spring is super easy to get to and can even be done as a day trip!

No problem! All three ferry terminals on Salt Spring Island are serviced by BC Transit just a short 15 minute ride to the heart of Ganges Village and stop directly in front of the Salt Spring Visitor Information Centre where our tour departs from!

Please meet the shuttle in Ganges village 5 minutes before your scheduled departure time in front of the Salt Spring Visitor Information Center located at 121 Lower Ganges Rd. 

*This is the same location that BC Transit will drop you off at if you did not bring your own vehicle.

*Look for our decaled Hop On Hop Off shuttle pulling into the commercial loading / unloading zone located just before BC Transits bus zone.

Yes you do. The shuttle runs every Friday, Saturday, Sunday April 1st to October 1st with up to 4 departure times per day at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm.

The "Artisan Trail" takes aproximately one hour to complete a loop and runs continuously from 10:00am - 6:00pm.

*Check the schedule carefully to avoid missing the shuttle and be at your stop at least 5 minutes before the posted time.  If unsure of a pick up time ask your bus driver.

Short answer no. The stops are spread out over a 28km loop trail so we have chosen the Visitors Information Centre as our start location as it is in the center of Ganges village. 

*Additionally all BC transit shuttles from the 3 Salt Spring ferry terminals converge at this same location making it super easy for you to access our tour!

The shuttle takes one hour to complete the 28km loop, but to make sure you dont miss the shuttle we recommend being at the pick up / drop off location at least 5 minutes before the time posted on the schedule .

*If you are really enjoying one spot in particular, feel free to stay longer and catch the shuttle at the next posted time for your location.

No worries - it happens! The shuttle will continue on without you, but rest assured we will be back again at the next posted time on the schedule. Just dont miss the last pick up time posted on the schedule or you will be cabbing it back to town!

Absolutly not! Our Hop on Hop off experiences are designed to let you create your own Artisan adventure, the way you want, at your own pace!

You are in control so hop on and off at all of the artisans stops on the trail, or just the ones that interest you!

Your ticket is valid for the date and departure time you selected when purchasing your ticket only.

We have 4 departure times per day, so please make sure to check which departure time you chose when you booked.

*If you miss your departure time there is no guarantee we can accomodate you on the next departure time as the shuttle sells out frequently.

You are guaranteed a seat for the specific date & departure time you purchased, but as this is a "Hop on Hop off" styled service we cannot control when and where passengers may choose to stay longer at certain locations, potentially creating a bottleneck.

Every effort is made to avoid this and we do not sell more tickets than we have seats available for each departure time. 

By purchasing and or participating in a tour provided by Salt Spring Hop On Hop Off Tours Ltd (SSHOHO) located at 126 - 149 Fulford Ganges Road Salt Spring Island BC, V8K 2T9, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the service set forth below. 

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully, as they govern your relationship with Salt Spring Hop On Hop Off Tours Ltd. These Terms are governed by, and the Services are operated in accordance with, the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada.

Refund & Cancellation. For a full refund, guests must cancel at least 48 hours before their tours scheduled departure / start time. If a guest cancels less than 48 hours before their tours scheduled departure / start time, the amount paid will not be refunded. Any changes made less than 48 hours before the tours start time will not be accepted.

If SSHOHO needs to cancel your tour for any unforeseen reason you will be given the option of choosing either a full refund or to rebook for a future date of your choice.

We accept the following credit cards: MasterCard, Visa, American Express. Additionally we accept debit cards at our kiosk location. All ticket prices are quoted in Canadian dollars.

5% GST and a 4.5% credit card and booking processing fee will be added to the price of all tours unless otherwise stated.

Prices are per person, unless otherwise specified.

We reserve the right to limit ticket quantities. Tickets purchased online cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts.

Upon purchasing one or more tickets on this site, you will be emailed a confirmation and QR code that must be presented to Salt Spring Hop On Hop Off Tours staff at the stated  departure time and departure zone.

We reserve the right to request that the credit card used to purchase ticket(s) online be presented prior to ticket redemption.

Your voucher can only be redeemed once and is valid for the date and departure time you reserved only. 

All bookings are non-refundable and must be redeemed within one year of purchase. Tickets cannot be resold or transferred to anyone else.

We reserve the right to require passengers who are under the age of 2 to ride in an adult’s lap.

Passengers must remain seated at all times when the bus is in motion and adhere to all safety instructions as posted or announced by Company staff.

Routes, schedules, pricing, and equipment are subject to change without notice and may be altered at any time and for any reason.

Seatng on the bus is available on a first-come first-serve basis, and as this is a “hop on hop off” service there is no guarantee that there will be available seating on a given vehicle, or at a specific locations pickup / drop off time.

Peripheral expenses such as gratuities for tour staff, personal insurance, food and beverages, and transportation before, during, and after one of our tours are also not included. 

Requested reservation changes are based on availability.

We are not responsible for personal items that are lost or damaged in transit.

Salt Spring Hop On Hop Off Tours Ltd (SSHOHO) will not be responsible for any direct or incidental loss or misuse of personal information belonging to users of this website.

Assumption of Risk. I understand that Salt Spring Hop On Hop Off Tours Ltd is acting solely as an agent in arranging transportation to venues located on Salt Spring Island and does not assume liability for accidents, delays, injuries, loss or damage due to any act or default by you, SSHOHO, or any location that the tour stops at, drops off or pick up from. I acknowledge my participation in the Tour provided by SSHOHO is voluntary and at my own risk. I understand that I voluntarily ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY for any risk of loss, personal injury, including death that may be sustained by me and any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of participation in the Tour, whether caused by the negligence of the Staff or otherwise, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Consumption of Alcohol. You, the guest, acknowledge that the Tour may stop at locations that serve alcohol.  I understand that SSHOHO does not require me to consume alcohol to participate in the Tour. It is strictly forbidden and against BC law to consume open liquor in any motor vehicle. Any guest observed or suspected of consuming alcohol while onboard any of our motor vehicles will be asked to leave the Tour immediately at the next safe unloading zone, without refund. I fully understand that there may be other guests on the Tour who opt to consume alcohol at locations that provide or manufacture it. Should you, the guest, decide to consume alcohol at the various locations that supply it, you understand and acknowledge the potential risks and dangers associated with the consumption of alcohol.

You, the guest, acknowledge that it is your responsibility not to become intoxicated during the Tour, and that SSHOHO is not responsible if you become intoxicated. You, the guest, acknowledge and take full responsibility for any liability associated with your intoxication, during or after the Tour. I acknowledge that SSHOHO assumes no liability for injuries that may occur to you, the guest, or others and no liability for any civil or criminal violation or damages that may be assessed against you as a result of you being  intoxicated before, during or after the Tour.

Risk of Tour. You, the guest, understand there may be unpaved walkways, stairways and driveways at the various location stops. You hereby accept any risk associated with getting in and out of vehicles, crossing public streets, tripping, slipping and falling during the Tour. You agree not to hold SSHOHO, its Owners or Staff, liable in any way should any harm come to you.

Waiver of Claims and Release of Liability. You, the guest, agree to waive and and all claims you may have now or in the future, release from all liability and agree not to sue Salt Spring Hop On Hop Off Tours Ltd, its members, agents, representatives, employees or tour guides (collectively referred to as “Staff”) for any death, personal injury, property damage, or loss sustained by me as a result of participation in the Tour.

Medical Declarations. You, the guest, represent that (1) you do not have, or are not aware of, any medical condition(s) that may impact your participation on this tour and (2) you do not take any medications that would result in any injury or damage to yourself or any other person(s) as a result of participating on this tour.

Accident Coverage. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to provide for my own accident and health coverage while participating in the Tour and while transporting myself to and from the Tour; accident and health coverage is not provided by SSHOHO.

Illegal Activity. You, the guest, agree that if SSHOHO Staff finds or suspects that you are participating in any illegal activity, disorderly conduct, or verbal/physical abuse during a Tour, SSHOHO reserves the right to terminate your participation on the Tour immediately without refund. You acknowledge that SSHOHO has the right to terminate your service regardless of location without returning to the point of departure.

Right of Publicity License. You, the guest, agree to grant Salt Spring Hop On Hop Off Tours Ltd, a worldwide, royalty-free license to use your photographic, video, or digital likeness solely for promotional, marketing of the business.

Acknowledgement. You, the guest, understand that the permission to participate on the Tour is being given to you in exchange for the execution of this Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement. You, the guest, understand this is a release of liability, which will legally prevent you or any other person from filing suit or making any other claims for damages in the event of personal injury, death, or property damages.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex.

Be sure to bring a reusable water bottle and of course a camera for those instagram worthy moments! A backpack or tote is a good idea to hold any of the goodies you will likely purchase along the way. 

If you’re joining us on a hot and sunny day, consider bringing a hat and sunscreen. And, of course, don’t forget your sense of adventure!

No problem - we run rain or shine! Dress for the weather and maybe bring an umbrella!

We drop off as close to the venues / attractions on tour as possible, but due to the size of the shuttle bus and the small driveways you may have to walk anywhere from 1 - 5 minutes depending on the stop to reach the venue / attraction. 

Most stops are only a one minute walk from being dropped off. 

*Salt Spring Cheese & goat farm can take 4-5 minutes to walk to from the drop off as the road is too narrow for the shuttle bus to drive up. 

Yes you can - these are the conditions.

For a full refund a guest(s) must cancel at least 48 hours before their reserved start/departure time. 

If a guest(s) cancel less than 48 hours before their  start/departure time, the amount paid will not be refunded. 

Any changes requested or cancellations made less than 48 hours before the guest(s) start/departure time will not be accepted.

Guest(s) that do not show up on the day of the tour at their reserved departure time will be classified "no-show" and are not eligible for a refund.

Our departure times are 10:00am, 11:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday from April to October. 

Unfortuntaly not at this time.  As this is a new pilot project we hope to purchase another shuttle bus in the near future that is wheelchair accessible.

While we love animals ourselves, out of respect for our other guests only certified service dogs are permitted on the shuttle at this time.

No, this is a "Hop On Hop Off" styled tour where we provide scheduled transpotation services only to various artisan producers and locations on Salt Spring Island.

There are several hundred free public parking spots conveniently located right behind the Visitor Information Centre in the heart of Ganges village. *Arrive early though as the spaces fill up quickly, particularly on Saturday's. 

Alternativly, most of the side streets on the outskirts of the village have free street parking.

Salt Spring Island is a beautiful, rustic paradise so dont expect a giant red double decker bus with a zillion other people on board and a muffled recorded audio commentary! 

That is the last thing we want for you and us. Our vibe is to provide a slow-paced relaxed small group experience, with some chilled beats playing in the background on the shuttle. Our drivers are super friendly and knowledgable and will be happy to answer any questions you may have along the way. 

That's why our motto is "Not your typical hop on hop off experience!"
